Tesda distributes livelihood starter kits in Zambo Sur

THE Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) announced Monday, August 9, 2021, that it has distributed some 188 livelihood starter kits in the municipality of Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur.

The Tesda-Zamboanga del Sur office said in a statement that the recipients of the livelihood starter kits distributed on Thursday, August 5, are the graduates of the Twin Hearts Academy and Learning Center, Incorporated and of the Tesda Provincial Training Center in Pagadian City, the capital of Zamboanga del Sur.

The graduates of the Twin Hearts Academy and Learning Center, Incorporated received starter kits for their skills training in Dressmaking NC II under the Special Training Employment Program allocated by the Zamboanga del Sur first district Representative Divina Grace Yu.

The recipients of the livelihood starter kits from the Provincial Training Center are those who took the qualifications in Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC II, Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II, Masonry NC II, Masonry NC I, and Automotive NC I under Universal Access to Quality Education Act.

Tesda-Zamboanga del Sur said the toolkits are part of the benefits of the scholars in the scholarship programs of the agency to be used for self-employment and gainful activities. (SunStar Zamboanga)
