A VILLAGE official was arrested in a manhunt operation in the province of Zamboanga del Norte, the police said Tuesday, September 10.

Police Major Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested official as Ricky Maghanoy, 36, a councilor in the village of Goin, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte.

Galvez said Maghanoy was arrested in a manhunt operation by way of service of warrant of arrest around 10:50 a.m. Monday in Goin village.

She added that Maghanoy has standing warrant of arrest for the crime of grave threat with P6,000 recommended bail issued by the Liloy-Tampilisan Municipal Circuit Trial Court.

The official was placed under the temporary custody of Liloy Municipal Police Station, she said. (SunStar Philippines)
