OPERATIVES of the Police Station 5 arrested a widow and seized some P30,000 worth of illegal drugs in an anti-drug operation in the city, police said on Thursday, April 25.

Arrested was Suraida Lim Suani, 45 of Tugbungan village, Zamboanga City during a drug bust around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Sitio Placer, Purok 3 in the village of Tugbungan, Police Brigadier General Emmanuel Luis Licup, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula director, said.

Police conducted surveillance on the activities of the suspect for several days.

Confiscated from Suraida’s possession were some P30,000 worth of suspected shabu packed in six plastic sachets and P500 marked money.

The suspect was detained pending the filing of appropriate charges against her. (SunStar Philippines)
