Sunnexdesk

ZAMBOANGA City has been designated as a testing center for the June 2018 Environmental Planner Licensure Examination.

Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar had requested the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) to designate the city as a testing center, citing its ideal and convenient location for a compelling number of environmental planner aspirants from Zamboanga City, Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Zamboanga Sibugay and Zamboanga del Norte.

The Philippine Institute of Environmental Planners (PIEP) Zampen - Basulta Chapter, headed by City Planning Officer Rodrigo Sicat, passed a chapter resolution requesting the local chief executive to make the appeal.

In its resolution, the PIEP said interested examinees from the areas mentioned have expressed their preference to take the exam in Zamboanga City due to its proximity and accessibility. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
