MAYOR Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar remains proud and buoyant on the continued economic boom of Zamboanga City, a chance for more job opportunities.

Salazar said this city continues to grow by leaps and bounds, citing the opening on Thursday, May 23, of Robinson’s Bank as the latest addition to the growing number of banks and businesses here.

Salazar, who graced the inauguration of Robinson’s bank, said the event symbolizes Zamboanguenos' resiliency recalling economic losses incurred in the aftermath of the 2013 siege but rose to be the home of over 75 banks and remains to be in the top 10 list of richest cities in the country.

“That is how resilient Zamboanga City is,” Salazar said as she vowed to continue the growth momentum by constantly pursuing the SHE (security, health and education) program which does not only speak of peace and order but the security of every resident as well.

The Robinson’s Bank, which is located along Mayor Jaldon Street in downtown Zamboanga, is the newest member to the growing local banking industry.
