Sunnexdesk

THE runway of the Bacolod-Silay Airport in Negros Occidental will be closed on Friday, November 9, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

In an advisory Wednesday, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said the closure of the runway 03/21 is due to the “airport's conduct of a Full Scale Emergency Exercise in compliance with its Aerodrome Certification. The exercise will be conducted at the stated date and time of the runway closure.”

CAAP said that the Bacolod-Silay Airport has also coordinated with the airlines regarding the closure.

“Affected passengers are advised to contact their respective airlines for their flight schedules,” CAAP added. (PR)
