Ceres Mart launches all-in-one convenience store in Bacolod

THE Ceres Mart launched its flagship all-in-one convenience store on Lacson Street in Bacolod City on Friday, January 25.

Jerina Louise Yanson Ramos, chief executive officer of Ceres Premium Food Production Inc. (CPFPI), said this is currently their 14th branch in the country.

“It’s a historic grand opening because it’s the first branch outside of the terminal. It’s a flagship branch because it’s located on Lacson Street,” she said.

The Ceres Mart has a showroom of Ceres Pasalubong, a diner serving Pinoy all-time favorites and baked and brewed delights serving freshly baked bread and brewed coffee, and a co-working space.

Ramos said the Ceres Mart brand started out serving passengers in the different terminals of the Negros-grown bus company Ceres or Vallacar Transit selling its famous pasalubong items and serving all-day meals.

“Now it has gone full-circle with its Lacson Street branch which will cater to locals and tourists alike still with famed Negrosanon goodies such as the tasty piaya, toasted mamon, biscocho, and many more,” she said.

Ramos noted that 10 years ago, her mother started the Ceres Pasalubong in terminals.

“When I came back (from abroad), I said to myself why not innovate, and provide something more than just a pasalubong center. So far, this is the biggest branch,” Ramos said.

She said it’s also their goal to expand their store in Negros.
