The Department of Tourism Region (DOT) in Western Visayas said the agency no longer has initiated flights for stranded tourists as of March 27.

This is upon the directive of Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat, the regional line agency, in an advisory, said.

“There could still be airlines staging commercial flights or groups doing private charters to move stranded tourists to our international gateways,” it added.

Tourists may contact their respective embassies for this arrangement.

DOT-Western Visayas is also observing a work-from-home arrangement for the staff.
