DOTr evaluates San Carlos Terminal security plan

THE Transport Security Risk Management Service of the Office for Transportation Security (TSRMS) under the Department of Transportation (DOTr) conducted a Threat and Vulnerability Assessment (TVA) in San Carlos City Public Transport Terminal from April 17-20.

The TVA is designed to assist the San Carlos Public Transport Terminal in identifying specific security deficiencies and recommends doable security measures needed to further safeguard its facility against the act of unlawful interference.

Last April 18, tanods of Barangay Palampas assigned to safeguard the terminal underwent a TVA entrance briefing where resource persons team leader Victor Raphael Dancel with security inspectors Leo Abad and Arvin Chester Viray discussed the brief overview of their assessment, objectives, office for transportation security, team composition, timeline, methodologies, responsibilities and documents to review.

Leila Mansueto, Public Market and Slaughterhouse Department head said TSRMS will make recommendations to improve security measures which will be forwarded to the city mayor.

Mansueto thanked TSRMS personnel for the assessment that can help further improve their capability in handling suspicious actions within the terminal’s premises.

During the extent of the assessment, the resource persons will also be holding top management surveys, on-site inspection and report writing, and exit briefing.
