THE local government unit of San Carlos, through the office of Mayor Renato Gustilo and Cooperatives and Livelihood Development Office (CLDO), has turned a P100,000 to Tapon Fisherfolk and Workers Association (TFWA) on Wednesday, November 10.

Merelie Destacamento, president of TFWA, said the amount was granted to TFWA by the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA) under the Gender and Development Fund 2021.

It is intended for the business operation of their association, especially in purchasing rice, fishing hooks and fishing lines for their Agri-Fisheries Retailing Store Project.

Destacamento thanked the 61 members at Barangay Guadalupe who are working for the smooth operation of the association.

Present during the turnover were Supervising Cooperatives Development Specialist Raymund Gepitulan and CLDO staff Marlon Maglayon and Edith Dano, together with the members of TFWA vice president Maria Lirma Batayola, secretary Jubita Agravante and business in-charge Mary Jane Retalla. (PR)
