AFTER its recent Philippine premiere at the Cinema One Originals Festival 2019, Mañanita, starred by award-winning drama actress Bela Padilla, will hit cinemas nationwide.

Bela Padilla takes on a different persona as an ex-military female sniper who embarks on a personal mission to seek revenge against the person who killed her parents in the past.

At the helm of this masterpiece are brilliant filmmakers Paul Soriano and Lav Diaz as director and writer, respectively.

Paul Soriano is most remembered for "Siargao," which earned him seven major awards in the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival including best director, and the 2013 film "Transit," the Philippines' official entry to the Academy Awards in 2014.

Lav Diaz, on the other hand, is known as one of the key members of the slow cinema movement, having made several of the longest narrative films on record that are well received in film festivals around the world.

Viva Films and TEN17P invite you to witness this character study as it opens to the public on December 4. (PR)
