‘Patay na muling nabuhay’ wins Pamahog Halloween competition

CONTESTANT No. 9 who depicted someone who died but mysteriously came back to life or "patay na muling nabuhay" won as champion in the third Halloween Costume competition held in Barangay Nanunga, Hinigaran town, Negros Occidental on November 1.

This was followed by contestant No. 10, the “tumandok sa lunok” who landed second runner-up.

Contestant No. 3, the “sea creature” won third runner-up.

The special awardees were given to “taong gruto,” contestant No. 6, for Best in Production; “patay na muling na buhay” contestant No. 9 was Pamahog Best in Costume and contestant No. 3, the “sea creature” won as Best in Talent.

This spooky show organized by the Barangay Councilor Paterno "Jun-Jun" David, Jr. and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Chairman Leah Montes succeeded in bringing the thrill to the residents.

Eleven residents competed in their spooky costumes and makeup where part of the criteria is to scare the people.

The contestants were in character as the nun, butcher, sea creature, santa santermo, agnas, taong gruto, killer bride, black lady, patay na muling na buhay, tumandok sa lunok and aswang sa balete.

David and Montes thanked the contestants for showing their spookiest costume and makeup as well as the people of Barangay Nanunga for supporting the yearly Halloween event.
