DO YOU have legal woes?

The Rotary Club of Bacolod South is set to hold a one-day legal consultation on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the second floor of SM City Bacolod’s north wing.

Club president Jumar Dennis Encabo said that this project, in partnership with the Integrated Bar of the Philippines–Negros Occidental and SM City Bacolod, is a continuing advocacy to bring legal advice and services to the public, most especially those who need it.

“Lawyers’ fees usually start at P500 to P1,000 and can add up, discouraging many to approach lawyers. So, in our effort to help those in need of legal help, we have a free legal consultation program. As I understand, it is only RCBS who conducts free legal clinic among the Rotary clubs here in Bacolod,” Encabo said.

There is no limit to the topics of interest that IBP participating lawyers can cover but clients may also be advised if a particular case cannot be entertained due to conflict or any other reason.

Encabo also extended his club’s thanks to the local IBP headed by Arnel Lapore for enjoining fellow lawyers to be part of this social responsibility project. “We anticipate a good number of legal counselors available on Saturday afternoon so we call on the public to take advantage of their free services.” (PR)
