140 cops added for Internal Security Operations

A TOTAL OF 140 new Police Officers 1 (PO1) were distributed to the two platoons of Negros Occidental Provincial Mobile Force Company (NOCPMFC) effective June 5.

Inspector Charmae De Paz, public information officer of Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo), said 72 policemen were assigned to first company, while 68 were added to the second company.

The additional forces will focus on Internal Security Operations (ISO) in the province.

Chief Inspector Lowell Garinganao, acting force commander of NOCPMFC, gave his guidance and conducted orientation for the familiarization of short and long firearms in preparation for their deployment on ISO last Tuesday, June 5.

De Paz said these forces were part of the 293 PO1s that finished their 60 day Basic Internal Security Operations Course last month.

The remaining 153 policemen were assigned at the Regional Mobile Force Battalion-Western Visayas in Victorias City. (GYM)
