245 LSIs to arrive in Bacolod on September 18

Teresa D. Ellera

LOCALLY stranded individuals (LSIs) are set to arrive at the Bredco Port in Bacolod City Friday, September 28, 2020, Dr. Zeaphard Gerhart Caelian, head of the Provincial Incident Management Team, said.

Caellian said the returning residents are part of the 245 LSIs who departed the port of Manila Thursday.

"We still have to finalize the passenger manifest so we will know who are from the different local government units in the province," he said.

He added they will notify local government units so the LSIs can be fetched at the port, Caellian said.

He said the initial information they received is there are passengers who are from Bacolod City.

Earlier, Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson assured LSIs in Manila that the provincial government is working on their return to the province.

This comes after the national Inter-Agency Task Force partially lifted the moratorium on the return of LSIs to Western Visayas.

Resolution No. 76 opened the doors for LSIs to return to their provinces in the region.
