4 arrested in Bago drug bust

AUTHORITIES arrested four suspects in a drug buy-bust operation in San Esteban Village, Barangay Lag-asan, Bago City on July 28, 2020.

The suspects were identified as Julie Ann De Oca, 36, a resident of Barangay Lag-asan Bago City; Richard Porcel, 29, a resident of Barangay Lag-asan Bago City; Vernon Tagamolila, 34, a resident of Barangay Bata, Bacolod City and Jeffrey De Jesus, 40, a resident of Barangay Sampinit Bago City.

Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) personnel led by Police Major John Van Herson Luspo, together with personnel of Bago City Police station led by Police Major John Joel Batusbatusan, conducted the buy-bust operation in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Western Visayas in San Esteban Village, Barangay Lag-asan, Bago City, which resulted to the arrest of the suspects.

​Inventory, photograph and markings of the seized items were conducted on-site with the presence of a Department of Justice representative, barangay official and media representative. The seized items were placed under the custody of NOCPPO-Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit.

The arrested persons were apprised of their constitutional rights as well as the cause of their arrest and were brought to Bago City Police Station for proper disposition. All recovered seized confiscated items were brought to Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory Office-Western Visayas for laboratory examination.
