NINE new two-story health center buildings will be constructed in nine barangays in Bacolod City this year.

Representative Greg Gasataya stressed this Tuesday, January 19, after these projects were already funded under the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) budget in 2021.

Gasataya said the new health centers will be constructed in the areas of Barangays Punta Taytay, Mansilingan, Cabug, Banago, Mandalagan, Taculing, Villamonte, Alijis and Estefania.

"The two-story health centers will be constructed in big barangays to improve its health services and to decongest the patients at the City Health Office (CHO) including some hospitals in the city for a check-up," he said.

Gasataya noted that he already coordinated with the village chiefs for the construction of the new buildings.

"They have existing health centers, but most of them with limited space, so we want to improve it to accommodate their constituents," Gasataya said.

He said this is a big help to the barangays to serve their constituents and he expect more projects to be implemented in the city.
