Alleged non-delivery of food supply to Bacolod Boy’s Home under probe

Merlinda A. Pedrosa

THE City Government of Bacolod will investigate the alleged non-delivery of food supply to the Bacolod Boy’s Home in Barangay Granada.

This, after a post saying that the Bacolod Boy’s Home Foundation is in dire need of help and they need to pay for the salaries of the house parents is making rounds on social media.

They also found out that suppliers of the kid’s food have stopped delivering, the post said.

It also stated that the city government allegedly has not paid them for a while, so the boys at the facility have been eating canned sardines for some time.

Councilor Renecito Novero said they did not receive a report of the said allegation.

But, he said, they will check the status of the Bacolod Boy’s Home and they will coordinate with the Department of Social Service and Development (DSSD).

Pacita Tero, head of the DSSD, could not be reached for a comment as of press time.
