Almost P130,000 shabu seized in Bacolod

AN ESTIMATED P129,160 worth of shabu or methamphetamine hydrochloride was seized in separate drug bust operations by the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) in Bacolod Wednesday evening, November 11, 2020.

The operations also led to the arrest of Jason Peruelo, 29; John Leigh Peruelo, 32; Norberto Peruelo, 54, all residents of Purok Gaisano, Barangay Alijis; and Errol Olorga, of Barangay 9.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of BCPO, said the Peruelo siblings were arrested by operatives of Police Station 7 after they sold a sachet of shabu to a police undercover in Purok Gaisano around 9:30 p.m.

Police recovered from the suspects' possession four sachets of shabu weighing 18 grams with an estimated market value of P117,000, the P500 marked money and a digital weighing scale.

Pico said Olorga was also arrested by operatives of Police Station 1 in Purok Calachuchi, Barangay 9 around 8:40 a.m.

Police recovered from Olorga’s possession eight sachets of shabu weighing 1.52 grams with an estimated market value of P12,160, the P200 marked money and drug paraphernalia.

The suspects are detained at the custodial facility of Police Stations 1 and 7 and are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
