BARANGAY Eight Chief Johanna Magalona has sought re-election in May 14 polls as it was the last wish of the late Barangay Captain Mylene Diwara - that she will be the one to continue her legacy in the barangay.

Magalona assumed the top post on April 14 this year, when Diwara passed away.

Since serving as the number one kagawad of their barangay, she assumed the post vacated by Diwara.

She was challenged by Kagawad Evelyn Donesa.

Magalona served for two terms as barangay kagawad.

She wants to continue serving her fellowmen with her priorities including basic education, sports, livelihood assistance, quality day care and health centers, better health assistance for Senior citizens, among others.

She is the wife of Negros Occidental Provincial Government Chief Security Venchito Magalona.
