BCPO gets guns, investigative kits

THE Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) has received firearms, and several materials from Police Regional Office (PRO)- Western Visayas in Iloilo City.

Police Major Ariel Pico, public information officer of BCPO, said 14 units of Galil (5.56) firearms, 11 investigative kits, and a GPS were provided to them by the Philippine National Police through the PRO- Western Visayas.

These (firearms) will be used for police operations, Pico said.

The city police force also received 33 pieces of signage from the higher headquarters.

The firearms and materials were turned over to Police Major Ramel Sarona, head of Bacolod City Mobile Force Company, and Police Lieutenant Jonito Pastrana, officer-in-charge of Investigation Detection Management Section during the flag-raising ceremony led by Police Lieutenant Colonel Leonardo Borromeo, deputy city director for administration and operation at the BCPO headquarters yesterday.
