THERE is a need for civilian security personnel to be more responsible in carrying out their mandate.

This was underscored by Philippine National Police (PNP)-Supervisory Office for Security and Investigation Agencies (Sosia) head Police Brigadier General Michael John Dubria during the training-seminar for the security personnel of Vallacar Transit Incorporated (VTI) at the Ceres Corporate Headquarters at Barangay Mansilingan in Bacolod City Tuesday, October 29, 2019.

The activity was conducted to raise the bar of excellence among Armored Guards Negros Security Agency (AGNSA) security guards primarily in harnessing their skills in the delivery of their services to the bus firm.

Dubria was joined by Police Colonel Fidel Dacpano, the current chief of the Regional Civil Security Unit-Western Visayas based in Iloilo City.

The offsite training-seminar for 250 security guards also included the License to Operate and Possess Firearms (LTOPF) Caravan for VTI managers and officers.

Yanson Group of Bus Companies (YGBC) president and chief executive officer Leo Rey Yanson, in a statement, lauded AGNSA's efforts to send their personnel to the training program.

Yanson also thanked the PNP-Sosia's continued commitment to further improve the services of civil security firms under it.

The whole-day activity provided pre-licensing services, retraining course for guards, supervisory officers training as well as protective agent program.
