THE Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) is now preparing all the documents for the filing of acts of lasciviousness charges against the taxi driver who made sexual advances to his female passenger on August 10, 2022.

Lieutenant Arlyn Torrendon, head of WCPD, said Friday, August 12, 2022, they already determined the identity of the taxi driver through the cooperation of the taxi operator.

She said the 60-year-old driver will be charged for acts of lasciviousness in relation to Republic Act 7610, a special protection of children against abuse, exploitation and discrimination act.

She added the 16-year-old victim reported the incident on August 11, 2022, at Police Station 4.

The girl, whose name is being withheld, posted on her social media account on August 10 a picture of the driver touching her legs while they were traveling.

The girl, who was seated at the front seat, also managed to take a video of the incident, which she likewise posted on social media.

The victim told the police that she occupied the taxi along Barangay Mandalagan towards Barangay 28 and she did not expect that it would happen to her.

Torrendon said the family of the victim will push through the case against the suspect.

The police reminded the passengers, especially women, to record the plate number of the taxi or to inform their family members to avoid similar incident.
