THE decomposing body of an unidentified man placed inside a sack was found in a drainage at Barangay Dumpsite, Murcia, Negros Occidental, at about 10:15 a.m. Friday, March 31.

Major Marc Joeil Reclamado, chief of the Murcia Municipal Police Station, said the body of the victim was found by residents inside the drainage near the road.

He said the victim was already in an advanced state of decomposition, so they cannot yet determine the cause of death.

He added that the victim was found naked.

Reclamado said the victim stood around 5 feet and 6 inches and was in his early 30s. His body was brought to a funeral parlor in Murcia for examination.

He said there's a possibility that the victim was killed in another area and was only dumped in Barangay Dumpsite.

He added that as of Friday, there was no report of a missing person within his area of jurisdiction.*
