Drug den dismantled, 8 arrested in Barangay 2 drug bust

THE Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Western Visayas and Police Station 2 dismantled a suspected drug den and arrested eight persons in a drug bust in Barangay 2, Bacolod City Sunday afternoon, August 15.

Arrested were Analyn Nacionales, alleged drug den maintainer; Alice Tanghal; Jackielou Maranon; Mariane Javelosa; Peter Nacionales; Jurey Gersaba; Jomar Arocan; and Ryo Tayag, all residents of Bacolod City.

The suspects were arrested after they sold a sachet of shabu to a poseur buyer around 2 p.m.

Authorities recovered from the suspects several sachets of shabu weighing 12 grams with an estimated market value of P81,600, the marked money, assorted cellular phones, and drug paraphernalia.

PDEA's records showed Analyn was identified as the suspected drug den maintainer in Barangay 2.

The suspects are detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 2. They are facing charges for violation of Sections 5, 6, 7, 11 and 12 of Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
