Fire razes 7 houses in Himamaylan

FIVE houses were burned down while two others were partially damaged in a fire that happened around 1:30 a.m., Saturday, December 7 at Sitio Tanate, Purok 11, Brgy Aguisan, Himamaylan City.

Owners of seven houses that were burned down were Joebert Sedon, Bernie Valdevia, Fidal S Valdivia, Ernesto Importa, and Antonio Belle.

Partially damaged houses were owned by Renante G Belle and Salde Cordero.

Initial investigation disclosed that the witness Joebert Sedon was awakened by the smoke and heat coming from his kitchen and thereon saw that there was already fire on progress. He immediately ran outside of his house and asked for help from his neighbors. As a result of the fire incident, seven houses were razed by fire with estimated cost of damage amounting to P30,000.

Further investigation of the BJMP revealed that the origin of fire was on the south portion of the house of Sedon.
