“VERY good.”

That was how Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson described the choices of cabinet members by incoming President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

Lacson on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, mentioned those cabinet members who will be leading the country's economic cluster, adding that Marcos’ choices were based on experience.

He also believed that the majority of the business sector are also pleased with Marcos' choice for his economic team.

So far, the individuals who have accepted Marcos' offer to become members of his economic team are former Philippine Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Arsenio Balisacan as secretary of the National Economic and Development Authority (Neda), Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Governor Benjamin Diokno as secretary of the Department of Finance (DOF), Alfredo Pascual as secretary of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Amenah Pangandaman for the Department of Budget and Management (DBM).
