ILOCOS Norte Governor and senatorial bet Imee Marcos said she is in favor of the localized peace talks.

Marcos who was in the province, Sunday, April 7, for the rally organized by Abang Lingkod Party List Representative Stephen Paduano at the South Capitol Road said that localized peace talk is more effective because local leaders identified its populace and their relatives.

Marcos said that it’s the governors through the Regional Peace and Order Council who pushed for the localized peace talks.

“Their leaders who have been abroad are clearly not in command anymore with their operation on the ground. So better to negotiate with their local leaders,” Marcos added.

Aside from Marcos, senatorial bet Dong Mangudadato also spoke during the said rally.

Third District Representative Alfredo Benitez was also present.
