Kabankalan gets P5M farm implements

THE Department of Agriculture turned over farm implements worth P5 million to Binuligay Farmers Association in Barangay Salong, Kabankalan City on August 18, 2021.

The implements include four units of mechanical rice planter with trailers, one 4-wheel drive tractor, one big harvester with trailer, two mechanical tillers, and two hand tractors.

The project is under the Philippine Mechanization Program under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund of the DA.

It is expected to benefit 300 farmers.

Mayor Pedro Zayco and Vice Mayor Raul Rivera led the Kabankalan City officials in the turnover event.

The project is part of the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund under Republic Act 11203 authored by Senator Cynthia Villar.
