SOME of the job order (JO) workers at the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC) may not be renewed next month, City Administrator Pacifico Maghari said Friday, March 24, 2023.

Maghari said there’s no final number yet, but for now, they will maintain the 2,700 JO workers every month.

He said some of the JO workers are not performing well, while others also stopped reporting to their respective offices.

"It’s the directive of Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez to ensure that all the JOs are doing their jobs," he added.

Maghari noted that the appointment of the JO will be released in April until June 2023.

Moreover, Maghari said the city government is also preparing for the use of biometric machines for the employees’ Daily Time Records (DTR).

"We are still completing the biometrics that will be installed in various offices at the BCGC as well as the directory of the employees," he said.

He added that for now, the JO workers are still using the manual DTR.
