Man killed in Moises Padilla shooting

A 45-YEAR-OLD resident of Sitio Kabayabasan, Moises Padilla died in a shooting incident on Saturday, July 26.

The victim was identified as Ronie Ortuoste while four male suspects were not yet identified.

The motive of the killing is still being determined as the suspects remained unidentified as of press time.

The victim was on his way home when the four alleged suspects arrived and suddenly shoot the victim where he sustained multiple gunshot wounds at the different parts of his body that resulted to his sudden death.

Meanwhile, one was injured in a stabbing incident in Barangay Abuanan, Bago City on July 6.

The victim was identified as Jeffrey Ortiz, a resident of the said barangay while the suspect was identified as Manuelito Ferrer also a resident of the barangay.

Based on police investigation, the victim was on his way home on board his motorcycle when the suspect blocked him and without any apparent reason stabbed him on the stomach using a bladed weapon. A witness reportedly tried to pacify the suspect who immediately fled from the crime.

The victim was rushed to a hospital in Bacolod City for medical treatment while hot pursuit operation was conducted by Bago City PNP for the possible apprehension of the suspect.
