And what’s not to celebrate about the dungarees? The versatility of this textile is that it can be worn and paired with any clothing for any occasion, be it for dressing up or keeping it casual. The fashion isn’t shabby, either, any age can rock these blues!

SM City Bacolod has put jeans and all things denim up front and center this month with sales of up to 70 percent off on everything denim at participating stores mall wide. The “Do Denim Sale” is ongoing up to the end of the month.

To highlight the theme, touches and events around the mall have made the “Do Denim” month one to remember.

There’s the denim photo wall, a fun and highly popular spot for Instagram and Facebook check-ins for the ultimate social media buzz.

The weekends of July saw fashion shows presenting the best of denim brands from the mall, starting with Fashion Face-Off. Here, Bacolod’s style mavens rocked outfits, matchables and accessories from The SM Store, Dickies, Surplus, Levi’s, Forever21, Blued, H&M, ForMe, modeled from Uba Laba, The North Face, and others. Leading the denim pack were the handsome duo 2 French In Manila.

The next weekend saw the Blackout Models taking over the denim runway with their anniversary show. Of course, the whole 50-strong model cast donned and styled their jeans.

To culminate the whole month of denims this July, a fun and grand MassKara parade will be happening around the mall at 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 29. The parade kicks off at the main atrium, north wing.

SM Supermalls of the Visayas will be on grand parade mode at the same time, too: SM Iloilo with its Dinagyang dancers; SM Puerto Princesa’s floral parade of the famed Balayong fest; SM Seaside City Cebu will be featuring their biggest festival.

Of course, the style staple is denim! (PR)
