P104,000 shabu seized in Barangay Bata

AN ESTIMATED P104,000 worth of shabu was seized in joint drug bust operations of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) and Police Station 5 in Purok Mahimayaon, Barangay Bata, Bacolod City Thursday, November 25.

The operation also led to the arrest of Jordan Juris Prudencia, 39, a resident of Barangay Bata.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), said Prudencia was arrested after he sold a sachet of shabu to a poseur buyer around 12:32 a.m.

Police recovered from Prudencia's possession six sachets of shabu weighing 16 grams, the P300 marked money and drug paraphernalia.

Gabana said Prudencia was identified as a street level individual in Bacolod City. He was under surveillance for almost a month before his arrest.

The suspect detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 5 will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
