AN ESTIMATED P1.3 million worth of suspected shabu or methamphetamine hydrochloride was seized in a drug bust conducted by Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) Drug Enforcement Unit at Sto. Domingo, Barangay Banago Monday afternoon, October 1.

The operation also led to the arrest of John Carlo Serfino, and his aid, a minor, whose name is being withheld by the police.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of BCPO, said Serfino was arrested after he sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a police undercover at about 2 p.m.

He said the minor, who served as the assistant of the suspect, was also arrested in the area.

Recovered from Serfino’s possession were 27 sachets of shabu weighing 110 grams, the P1,000 marked money, and a medicine box.

Pico said Serfino, who was identified as a high-value target, was under surveillance for almost a month before his arrest.

He said Serfino is detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 3 and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, while the minor was endorsed to the Social Development Center.
