P30,000 ‘shabu’ seized in Bacolod drug bust

AN ESTIMATED of P30,000 worth of suspected “shabu” or methamphetamine hydrochloride was seized in a drug bust conducted by operatives of Police Station at Barangay Kingfisher A, Barangay 16, Bacolod City Wednesday morning.

Police identified the suspect as Cristi Ray Gasataya, 37, of Barangay 16.

Police Major Jovil Sedel, chief of Police Station 1, said Gasataya was caught selling suspected shabu to a police undercover at 4 a.m. Wednesday, May 1.

Police recovered from Gasataya’s possession 13 sachets of shabu, the P200 marked money, two lighters and coin purse.

Sedel said Gasataya is detained at the station’s custodial facility and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (MAP)
