P84,000 shabu seized in Barangay 2

AN ESTIMATED P84,000 worth of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) was seized in a drug bust conducted by personnel of Police Station 2 in Purok Kagaykay, Barangay 2, Bacolod City Wednesday afternoon, May 8.

Police identified the suspects as Neil Sitjar Jr., 34, of Talisay City, and Cha Turbanos, 48, of Barangay 14, Bacolod City.

Police Captain Leo Estopa, chief of Police Station 2, said the suspects were caught selling shabu to a police undercover at 4 p.m.

Police recovered from the suspects' possession 22 sachets of shabu weighing seven grams, the P200 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.

The suspects are detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 2 and are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9162 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
