Teresa D. Ellera

TRAVEL permits are required for those who would like to go outside Negros Occidental for them to be allowed entry by the local government of their destination.

This was emphasized by Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson after he issued Executive Order 20-25, series of 2020, putting the province under modified general community quarantine from June 1 to 15.

They can contact the Provincial Government, Lacson said.

Lacson emphasized that this is applicable for residents outside Bacolod City.

However, air and sea travel are still not allowed.

Some salient points of the EO states that all persons are now allowed to go outside their residences. However, establishments shall be allowed to operate at a maximum of 50 percent of their venue capacity.

Borders of Negros Occidental and Negros Oriental shall remain closed.

Seaports and airports shall allow the entry of returning overseas Filipino workers, locally stranded individuals, returning Negrenses, and essential workers of establishments.

Physical distancing and use of face mask shall remain mandatory.
