THE Philippine Navy and Royal Brunei Navy will conduct a medical and dental mission in Barangay Banago, Bacolod City on September 28.

Lieutenant Oscar Ronaldo Mendoza of Naval Forces Central said it is part of the Maritime Training Activity (MTA) Seagull 2018, a naval exercise between the Philippine Navy and Royal Brunei Navy, which will be conducted on September 23 to 29 at the Visayas Sea. It will end in Bacolod.

He said the Philippine Navy and Royal Brunei Navy ships will dock at the Bredco Port on September 26 to 29.

“The coastal barangays are our recipient for the medical and dental mission with the assistance of the local government units (LGUs),” he added.

Mendoza noted that Barangay Banago is one of the coastal barangays in Bacolod, which was referred by the City Government.

The Philippine Navy and Brunei Navy will bring their medical and dental teams as well as medicines for the residents of Barangay Banago.

Mendoza said they also asked the City Government to provide additional doctors for the medical mission.

“We will bring our doctors here with free medicines. Those who need medical assistance are welcome to participate in our activity,” he said.

In the previous years, Naval Forces Central also held civil-military operation activities in the areas of Western, Central, and Eastern Visayas.
