PhilHealth-Western Visayas issues warning over new scam

Sunnexdesk

THE Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) in Western Visayas has issued a warning Wednesday, August 21, over a new scam that is circulating in public.

PhilHealth-Western Visayas Public Affairs Unit head Janimhe Jalbuna revealed the scam pertains to a raffle promo in celebration of their anniversary.

Jalbuna clarified that they currently do not have any ongoing promos, wherein the grand raffle prize is a house and lot.

The PhilHealth official said the public should be cautious to those that introduce themselves as PhilHealth employees, wherein they would offer supposed services such as giving out member data records and collecting premium contributions.

The official added all payments such as monthly contributions should only be made in local PhilHealth offices, and accredited collection agents such as banks and “bayad centers.” (TDE)
