PHILIPPINE National Police (PNP) Chief Debold Sinas has emphasized to the police force in Negros Occidental that they must continue their war against illegal drugs, corruption, illegal gambling, and local communist insurgency as per order of President Rodrigo Duterte.

This was relayed to Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson by Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) Director Director Romy Palgue when the former asked latter of the PNP chief's message to the police force in the province.

Lacson said Monday, February 8, that Sinas is happy with the current infrastructure setup within the Nocppo.

Sinas made a "low-profile" visit to the local police force last Sunday, February 7, attending the groundbreaking ceremony of Nocppo's new Transient Quarters located at Camp Alfredo Montelibano in Barangay Estefania, Bacolod City.

The new Nocppo Transient building has a total of 12 rooms and has a capacity for 24 people.

Lacson also revealed to Sinas that the Provincial Government has more plans in store for improving Nocppo's headquarters, such as constructing a covered court inside the camp and extending the second floor of the administration building.

"He just came over to check his troops," Lacson said.

The governor said the present circumstances have demonstrated quite clearly the need for utmost unity and cooperation, "if we are to overcome the manifold challenges we are confronted with at the moment."

Lacson also said that he personally asked Sinas where his name Debold originated.
