THE Bacolod City Local Market Committee (LMC) will conduct the raffle of the stalls at the Libertad Public Market Annex Building on June 8, City Administrator Atty. Pacifico Maghari III said Monday, May 29.

Maghari said at least 305 vendors will be included in the raffle where their names were already posted since last week to accommodate any objections.

“We are just waiting for the objections or any comments from those who are not included in the list,” he said.

He added that they will finalize the masterlist this week and their names were already screened.

Maghari noted that at least 212 stalls were supposed to be raffled on June 8.

Those who will not be accommodated, the city government is also planning to conduct a night market so they can continue their livelihood, Maghari said.

He said the night market committee is still finalizing the location for the market vendors.

“Possibly, it’s also near the Libertad Public Market, we will finalize the details this week,” he added.

Maghari disclosed that the LMC will also submit its proposal to the night market committee for the possible location of the night market.*
