THE Sagay City Police Station in Negros Occidental, in coordination with the local fact-finding team, will meet with 25 donees on Friday, November 9, in relation to the massacre of the nine farmers in Bulanon village on October 20.

Chief Inspector Robert Mansueto, city police chief, said the meeting will be held at a church in the city.

Less than half of the donees and the fact-finding team composed of the Commission on Human Rights (CHR), Diocese of San Carlos, the local parish, among others have confirmed their attendance for the meeting.

Mansueto said the landowner and lessor will meet with the authorities on Thursday, November 8.

This is to clear things and determine the outcome of their independent investigation, he said.

“We want to be transparent on this case,” Mansueto added.

On October 26, the police filed multiple murder charges against Rene Manlangit and Rogelio Arquillo, both alleged recruiters of National Federation of Sugar Workers (NFSW), and seven John Does for the brutal killing of nine farmers in Hacienda Nene.
