THE Provincial Board of Negros Occidental is set to release the Statements of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN) of provincial officials Wednesday, June 19.

Provincial board secretary lawyer Maki Angel Ascalon said the Provincial Human Resource Management Office has reminded the board members to submit their waiver, allowing their SALN to be released to the public.

Based on records from 2018, Pedro Zayco was recognized as the richest board member for three consecutive years.

Under the law, public officials are required to submit their SALN annually. Anyone who fails to file the said legal document could face suspension and possible dismissal from service. (TDE)
