A PAIR of severed human feet placed inside a transparent plastic bag was found along CL Montelibano, Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City, at about 1 a.m. Wednesday, March 29.

Captain Greeky Cayao, commander of Police Station 4, said an employee from one of the business establishments along CL Montelibano informed them that unidentified men left the transparent plastic bag near their area.

He said it’s not yet known whether the owner of the severed feet was male or female, adding that they had already been brought to a funeral parlor in the city for further investigation.

Cayao said the incident is not related to January’s case, where a pair of severed hands were also found in Purok Kagaykay, Barangay 2.

"Maybe the perpetrators just want to scare the business occupants along CL Montelibano, and it’s not a drug-related case," he said.

He said they also recovered a note written on a piece of paper inside the plastic bag, though he refused to divulge further details as the investigation is still ongoing.

He said that there’s also a possibility that the owner of the severed feet is already dead and that it was being used by the suspects to threaten the business owners.

Meanwhile, Cayao said that there are no recent reports of an abduction or killing incident within his area of responsibility.

He said they are still conducting a thorough investigation into the incident.*
