Silay police chief reassigned to Aklan

POLICE Lieutenant Colonel Noel Polines was relieved from his post effective April 15 after he completed his two-year tenure as chief of Silay City Police Station in Negros Occidental.

Police Major Edison Garcia, public information officer of Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo), confirmed this Tuesday, April 23.

Polines was relieved upon the order of Police Colonel Romeo Baleros, Nocppo director, and was moved to Kalibo, Aklan.

Garcia said Police Major Rollie Pondevilla replaced Polines in Silay City.

Pondevilla was last assigned as head of the General Supports Services Unit at Nocppo headquarters in Bacolod City.

For his part, Polines said officers come and go and he was able to contribute in sustaining the peace and order situation in Silay.

He had his exit call with Mayor Mark Andrew Arthur Golez last Monday, April 22.
