Tesda training for employment held in Talisay

THE Office of Third District Representative Alfredo Benitez partnering with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) brought the Special Training for Employment Program (Step) to Talisay City to assist the women of Barangays 12 and 12A and the inmates of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP).

Twenty housewives of Barangays 12 and 12A recently completed the 12-day cake-making training earning the Certificate of Competency.

The Pearl Manor Skills Training Institute was tapped by Tesda as the training service provider.

BJMP Warden Romeo Jamandre Eyoy thanked Tesda and Benitez for the 18-day Hilot Wellness training that gave the 17 participants their national certificates.

The Tesda Step also include a seminar on entrepreneurship so that beneficiaries are guided on how to start and sustain a livelihood activity. (PR )
