TUP-Visayas among top performing schools in ME board exam

THE Philippine Regulatory Commission (PRC) recently recognized the Technological University of the Philippines–Visayas (TUPV) as one of the Top 10 performing schools in the country in the August 2019 Mechanical Engineering Board Examination.

TUP-Visayas ranked 5th and the only school in Visayas and Mindanao that made it to the top 10 list with 91.88% after Batangas State University-Alangilan, UP-Diliman, De La Salle University-Manila and University of Sto. Tomas.

The university likewise had the most number of passers with 181 among the 155 engineering schools in the Philippines.

Moreover, TUPV graduates Dleen Arnaez Mendoza and Lope Escario Allerite Jr., placed 4th and 6th, respectively, in the Certified Plant Mechanic Examination.

Eric Malo-oy, campus director, commended the hard work especially of the parents for supporting their children and to the faculty, staff and administration of the TUP-V for continuing the university’s legacy of academic excellence.

Finally, an alumnus and proprietor of Envirocool, Ric Inion also expressed his support to the university saying “Let’s sustain and even exceed! The alumni are supportive, the faculty members and administration are aggressive to be the best! High salute to TUP-Visayas’ leadership.”

“Let’s put in our hearts and strive for this excellence, when we say technology and innovation, one thing will be on their mind, its TUP-Visayas,” he added. (TDE)
