FIVE houses and a day care center were destroyed by a twister that hit Sitio Passing Truck, Barangay Minapasuk, Calatrava at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, October 20.

Barangay Minapasuk Captain Johnny Guilot said the tornado lasted for about 15 to 20 minutes. No one was injured in the incident.

"After the twister, heavy rains followed," Guilot said.

Guilot also said that several trees fell and were uprooted and there were also houses that were damaged.

Those who lost their houses from twister opted to stay at their relative's houses and that relief assistance will be extended by the barangay to the affected families, Guilot added.
