Vendor yields P240,000 in shabu

A FEMALE vendor yielded an estimated P240,000 worth of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) in a drug bust in Barangay 6, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, on April 22.

Police identified the suspect as Marcela Theresa Batusin, 45, of the said village.

Joint operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Western Visayas and San Carlos City Police Station conducted the operation against Batusin around 11 p.m.

Police recovered from her six sachets of suspected shabu, a bag, and the P1,000 marked money.

Batusin is detained at the police station.

Meanwhile, Janie Bunda, 29, of Purok Sibucao in Barangay Banago, Bacolod City, a street-level target, was also collared in a drug bust in the said village early Monday morning.

Police confiscated from Bunda three sachets of suspected shabu worth P5,000, an improvised tooter, and a lighter. (GYM)
