NEGROS Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson confirmed that Senator Cynthia Villar will arrive today for the opening of the 14th Negros Island Organic Farmers Festival in front of the Capitol building.

Aside from Villar, Lacson said they also invited Department of Agriculture Secretary William Dar and Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo to join in the festivities.

According to Lacson, the reason why he invited Degamo is to encourage the continued partnership between the two provinces.

The festival will also give an opportunity for farmers to either sell or exhibit their products, along with presenting sustainable innovations in organic farming.

The event will last until Saturday. (TDE)
